It's The Economy, Stupid!

The economy of the United States has never been weaker, or in greater danger of collapse in the history of this nation.  In terms of numbers of people affected now, our unemployment rate is worse today than it was during the Great Depression of 1929.  Today people make less money with fewer hours and fewer jobs to hold.  The jobs that are available pay less and are primarily service type jobs.  The high paying manufacturing jobs have high-tailed it out of the United States and overseas where governments aren’t as hostile to them as our own government is.

Today both spouses must work to make ends meet.  Gone are the days when a mother could stay at home to take care of the house and the children.  This has led to a gradual decline of the family unit and has created several generations of mal-adjusted children which eventually leads to the decline of social ethics and morals.  Many children who grow up in homes where both parents work are taught the skills needed to survive by strangers who use federal guidelines of what is morally and ethically acceptable.  The children of America are indoctrinated against their will because their parents aren’t there to supervise their upbringing.

For those people who have to raise a family on their own that can’t make a decent living, they more often than not have to rely on government assistance to get by.  Generations of children learn that if they don’t work that the federal government will pay for their homes, their food or anything else they need.  This has created a generation of people who think that they are entitled to a livelihood from the government.  With the thousands of dollars people get free from the federal government, is it any wonder they would rather sit at home in front of the television playing video games instead of working for the money they earn?  Food, housing and medical bills are paid for by the State like manna from Heaven.  People physically able to work won’tat least not until their welfare or unemployment benefits expire.  Unemployment is treated like a vacation fund where people do as little as they can to seek work, often waiting until their benefits run out before they do look for work.  The truth be told, if people are honest with themselves, too many people take advantage of welfare and unemployment benefits.  Most use them until they are completely exhausted before they even begin to look for work.

Actual potential job seekers run into a brick wall when they start to look for work because the jobs just aren’t out there, at least jobs that will allow one to raise a family.  The reason why is because the Federal government ran off businesses due to over taxation and over regulation.  To remain viable, businesses relocated overseas where they could take advantage of slave labor and nonexistent environmental laws, not to mention generous tax breaks.  The businesses that remain in the United States have to compete with overseas businesses, which is not possible with the slave labor and relaxed environmental policies of most third-world foreign nations.

Another problem that adversely affects the United States job market is the flood of illegal immigrants who have inundated our job markets by offering to work at substantially less money and no benefits.  Struggling businesses hire these people in an attempt to meet labor costs they could not otherwise afford to pay.  They do this knowing that no illegal alien is going to complain out of fear of being deported.  The myth that illegal aliens only take the jobs that Americans won’t take is just that, a myth.  Illegal immigrants have infiltrated nearly every job market such as the construction industry, the hotel cleaning industry, landscaping industries, cleaning services and hospitals to name just a few.  These industries are saturated with illegal immigrant workers.  The added expense of educating, medicating and incarcerating them costs U.S. taxpayer billions in taxes and billions in terms of jobs that legal citizens could fill.

The final nail hammered into the American business coffin was the federal bail out of American businesses that was mismanaged.  This left us with the economic quagmire we now have.  The Obama administration handed out billions of dollars in bailout money, saddling untold future generations of Americans with trillions of dollars to pay this money back.  Obama has mortgaged this nation for the next couple hundred years.  He did this to fix the mistakes American businesses made on their own, without even taking into consideration of the common ordinary tax payer.  Businesses and people who make mistakes need to be allowed to suffer the consequences of those mistakes.

Wealthy business mangers have been paid millions while the common ordinary citizen got absolutely nothing but promises.  The corrupt Federal Government presently ruling this nation, along with crooked businessmen and speculators who received the bail out money, have nearly ruined this nation for good.  Until we do something, and do it quick, the United States risks loosing its position in the world as a super power.

To fix the problems we face, I propose several solutions.  First, we must go after those responsible for the huge economic collapse we find ourselves mired in.  We must find them, indict them and when convicted, we must incarcerate them.  They must be made to pay back all monies swindled out of the American taxpayer.  The legislators now serving in office who gave Obama the votes to perpetuate this outrage on the American people must suffer the same consequences.

Second, our borders must be made secure, and every illegal alien (and family) found living in the United States must and will be deported to their country of origin.  An invoice will be sent to the offending person’s country demanding reimbursement for the cost of deportation.  If that country refuses to pay, then any economic aid destined for that country will be withheld until they do.  If they continue to refuse to pay, economic aid to that nation will cease forever.  This means all economic and humanitarian aid.

The nations who are responsible for their citizen’s illegally entering the United States without going through the proper procedures must be held accountable for their own people and economic problems.  Once we deport those who do not belong here, we will deploy the United States military on the border to ensure it stays secure.

Third, we must create favorable conditions that businesses find attractive and conducive for them to either relocate to the United States, or for investors already here to build up the manufacturing base from scratch.  Those nations who refuse to adhere to free trade principles will not be permitted to trade with the United States.  If they lay tariffs on United States goods, tariffs will be imposed on them.  If other nations try to bribe us with goods that only they have we will turn around and bribe them back with something many of them do not, or can not, produce enough ofand that is food.

We cannot allow the materials we need to run our economy to be used as a weapon against us.  For instance, China has an abundance of rare earth materials that our military complex can’t do without.  If they refuse to trade essential things for our nation’s survival, we will refuse to export the food that they need.  Let’s see how long they can tell their people they have to eat that dirt because they won’t trade it to the United States for food?

The economic problems that face this nation are incredible, but not insurmountable.  We only need to elect someone who will look out for the best interests of the United States above all else.
